Mark O'Hare is a two time Emmy Award-winning American director and story artist, artist, and creator of the newspaper comic strip Citizen Dog, with three published collections. 

Mark's work has appeared frequently in the popular Hollywood animated features Despicable Me, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, Despicable Me 2, Minions and Minions 2, and as Head of Story for Dr. Seuss' The Grinch. His work is most recently appearing as Head of Story and Animation Director for the upcoming December 2025 release of The Spongebob Movie, Search for Squarepants.

He is a 2019 recipient of the Purdue Old Master's honor from his alma mater.​​​

His art blends the absurd and the mundane in nearly silent pantomime, imbuing pets and small creatures with more insight than people.
